Thomas A. Sult, MD

Dr. Sult’s career has centered on teaching. Prior to medical school, Dr. Sult worked as a wilderness guide and paramedic. He taught a number of wilderness skills, including survival, white water rescue, mountaineering, rock, snow and ice climbing, and wilderness medicine. As a paramedic, he taught first aid, CPR, and ACLS. During medical school, Dr. Sult was an anatomy, biochemistry, and physical diagnosis lab instructor. As a senior resident, Dr. Sult was voted “Resident Teacher of the Year” by his peers and faculty.

A graduate of UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Sult is residency trained and board certified in family medicine. With his residency at Merced Community Medical Center in Merced, California, Dr. Sult was trained during the “hay day” of Family Medicine. As the only resident in the house, Dr. Sult received broad training. His private practice has included obstetrics with c-sections, EGDs, colonoscopy, endovenous ablation of varicose veins, as well as advanced office-based aesthetic procedures. He has studied all over the United States and Europe in order to find and bring home the most effective techniques in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Sult has practiced aesthetic medicine since 1989. He uses the full spectrum of non-ablative and ablative light/laser therapies, aesthetic injectables, liposuction, fat transfer, and body and facial contouring.

Dr. Sult has membership in a number of organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Physicians, the American Academy of Cosmetic Family Medicine, and the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine.

Dr. Sult is a national and international educator in aesthetic medicine and clinical age management. He is on faculty with the Institute for Functional Medicine, the Laser and Health Academy, and the Sult Institute for Aesthetic Medicine.
